General Support, Mentoring, Counselling, Life Skill Development and Social
Services
We initiate support programmes within the community which promote and
maintain the value of the family.
We provide general support, mentoring, counselling for young boys and youth and life skill development and
social services to families and individuals at risk or in crises.
Nutritional
Cooking Classes and Aerobics
Every Friday afternoon from 1.00pm to 2.00pm the Trust runs
Nutrtition classes, free of charge, for women in the community. A
qualified nutritionist demonstrates step by step how healthy,
nutritional and budget meals are prepared. Do away with dieting myths,
and be informed on good and bad habits in relation to eating.
This is followed by an hour of aerobics exercising - come along and
join the ladies in a fun filled afternoon of "zumba gold" led by an
experienced physical instructor. Bring along your children as we have a child minder on site.
For working mothers, we have an hour of low impact aerobics on Wednesday afternoons from 6.00pm - 7pm.
Partnership in Schools
Children's Clubs
These clubs aim to teach life skills and support children in
schools. The school selects pupils, based on need.
The Trust runs a homework club at a local intermediate school once a week. The small group environment enables the children to feel safe,to
build rapport with the leaders and with each other and enables the
leaders to create an environment that fosters self worth and gives
quality time to each of those that attend.
After School ActivitiesA lifeskills club is held once a week that alternates between senior primary school and junior primary school students. Children are helped with homework, learn cooking, gardening, craft, musical instruments and are taught good moral values.
